IN THE FACE OF THE EPIDEMIC SLK CEMENT HAS INDEXED THE LEVEL OF EMPLOYEES' SALARIES BY AN AMOUNT HIGHER THAN THE OFFICIAL INFLATION RATE
A balanced approach to the formation of the remuneration system in SLK Cement involves an annual review of the salary level of employees. Traditional indexing took place at the company's enterprises in March.
Taking into account the difficult economic situation due to the spread of coronavirus infection, the management of SLK Cement decided to increase salaries at the enterprise in Sukhoy Log by 7.0%, at the plant in Korkino (Pervomaisky settlement) – by 9.2%. At the enterprise in Chelyabinsk region, the indexation is slightly higher, so far as the average salary level was lower.
– Salary is one of the main factors in the socio-economic life of employees, – said Sergey Kalinin, the Head of HR Department, SLK Cement. – In order to recognize the merits and evaluate the personal effectiveness of each employee, to maintain economic condition of the staff and their families during this difficult time, the management decided not to abandon the planned March indexation, despite the rapidly deteriorating economic situation.
At the end of the first quarter of 2020, despite a decrease in shipments by 6% compared to 2019, the company management decided to pay the quarterly bonus in full. In April, employees received payments based on 5% of the employee's income for the quarter.
Salary rise will also support the budgets of municipalities in the regions where the company plants are located, as the amount of tax on personal income that goes to local budgets will increase.
