OVER 7,000 T OF PRODUCTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW PROJECT IN YAMAL
Two plants of the Company are involved in cement supplies for the liquefied natural gas plant project called ‘Arctic SPG 2’. By now, the plants have dispatched over 7,000 t of their products to the construction site, and another 3,000 t will be dispatched until the end of the year.
Korkino Branch began to supply the cement initially in February 2020. In May, SLK Cement received an additional order from ‘Arctic SPG 2’ for another 6,775 t of cement. It will be dispatched by Sukholozhskcement Branch.
Within the scope of this cooperation, the cement makers provide the construction project with the Grade CEM II/А-Sh 32.5 B, which is produced according to GOST 31108-2016. Thanks to high strength of this product, heat consumption and duration of curing can be reduced, which is important under the climatic conditions of the Arctic region and its low temperatures.
The products are delivered by rail, and then – by sea transport to the final destination.
– Our participation in the construction of such a critical facility for our national economy as ‘Arctic SPG 2’ shows that the high quality of our products has been duly appreciated, – commented Vladimir KLEMENTYEV, Marketing and Sales Director of SLK. – About 10,000 t of our products have already been booked to be supplied in 2021 to this project implemented by one of Russia’s major natural gas producer.
The project ‘Arctic SPG 2’ is not the only major facility in Yamal Region, during construction of which the products of SLK Cement have been used. Cement from Sukholozhskcement Branch was supplied for implementation of the program of transport infrastructure development in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation – the Northern Latitudinal Railway.
